TEMPUR-Material™ is a proprietary, one-of-a-kind technology that we’ve evolved for decades to reduce motion transfer and relieve pressure points. Unlike ordinary memory foam, TEMPUR-Material's™ precision-engineered cellular structure immediately and precisely adapts to your weight, shape, and temperature. We know that shoppers are interested to learn more about the science behind our premium materials — and we want you to have complete confidence in the quality and safety of our products.

The CertiPUR-US® program was developed in close collaboration with leading environmentalists, chemists, accredited laboratory research scientists, and bedding and furniture industry leaders. The certification process typically takes about 60 days — including 21-30 days of analytical testing — and each qualifying organization must re-certify every six months in the first year and annually thereafter.

This certification confirms that all foam materials made by Tempur-Pedic®, including those used in our Cloud®, Adapt® and Breeze° mattresses, pillows and mattress toppers, meet the program’s rigorous standards for emissions, content, performance, and durability.

CertiPUR-US® certification ensures that these materials are:

• Made without ozone depleters
• Made without PBDEs, TDCPP, TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
• Made without CFCs, mercury, lead and heavy metals
• Made without formaldehyde
• Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission;
• Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)
